Popular pastor and founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nation’s, SCOAN, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua (popularly known as TB Joshua) is dead.
Prophet TB Joshua died at the age 57.
He died a week to his 58th birthday.
The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), which has its headquarters in Lagos, confirmed TB Joshua’s death in a statement issued on Sunday.
The statement by SCOAN indicated that TB Joshua had, on Saturday, spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: “Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.”
In its statement titled, “Prophet TB Joshua-June 12th 1963 to June 5th, 2021”, SCOAN confirmed that God has taken Prophet TB Joshua home by His divine will.
The statement reads, “PROPHET TB JOSHUA – JUNE 12th 1963 to JUNE 5th 2021 “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.” – Amos 3:7
“On Saturday 5th June 2021, Prophet TB Joshua spoke during the Emmanuel TV Partners Meeting: Time for everything – time to come here for prayer and time to return home after the service.
“God has taken His servant Prophet TB Joshua home –as it should be by divine will.
“His last moments on earth were spent in the service of God. This is what he was born for, lived for and died for.
“As Prophet TB Joshua says, “The greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it”.
‘Prophet TB Joshua leaves a legacy of service and sacrifice to God’s Kingdom that is living for generations yet unborn”, the statement concluded.
Meanwhile, report by the News Agency if Nigeria, NAN, yesterday indicated that all the flags adorning the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos have been lowered at half mast as sympathizers thronged the church on the news of the death of Prophet TB Joshua.
The agency further reported that sympathizers and followers of the prophet were seen crying around the church premises.
“Security men at the premises prevented worshippers from entering the premises”, the agency said.
The usual church service did not hold in the church yesterday, while some expatriates who had been in the church for prayers were seen leaving yesterday morning.
