The Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Kaduna State Chapter, has distributed food items and cash to widows of fallen police officers, orphans, and other less privileged women ahead of Christmas, according to DSP Mansir Hassan, PPRO Kaduna State Police Command.
Hassan, in an e-signed statement disclosed that the humanitarian gesture, led by POWA Chairperson Hajiya Surayya Muhammad Rabiu, aimed to ease hardship and spread goodwill during the festive period, benefiting 200 women.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Hajiya Surayya emphasized the importance of compassion, support, and solidarity, especially for families of officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
She reassured beneficiaries of the Association’s continued commitment to welfare and support initiatives. The beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to the POWA Chairperson and the Kaduna State Police Command for the kind gesture, describing it as both timely and impactful.
