The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma Chapter, on Tuesday, passed vote of confidence on its Chairman, Dr. Monday Igbafen, accused of sex for marks.
This decision was taking at the Congress of the Union’s Chapter on Tuesday.
The University Authorities had last week, suspended the embattled Chairman who had vehemently denied the allegation.
The executive members of the branch for their consistency before, during and after the just suspended nationwide Strike action.
The Congress also described the suspension of the Chairman by the University Management as an aberration, an act of vendetta and open affront on the Union.
The Congress also raised a five man Committee to interface with the management of the University over the alleged sexual harassment levied against the union’s branch chairperson, Dr. Monday Igbafen.
