Bomb explosion has struck the headquarters of the Ohaneze Ndigbo located on No. 7 Parks Avenue, G. R. A., Enugu, destroying part of the building.
The explosion is another frightening dimension in the leadership crisis which has for long bedeviling the Igbo umbrella organisation.
Reports say the explosion came few hours after the caretaker committee chairman of the association, Ralph Obioha, inaugurated a panel to probe the Enwo Igariwey led executive council.
The explosion, which broke into fire, affected some parts of the main hall of the Ohanaeze Secretariat where major meetings of the apex Igbo body are usually held.
Even though no life was lost, sources at the scene reported that the explosion went off with a bang, which rocked the entire vicinity and caused panic among residents.
