Some unidentified gunmen at the weekend allegedly murdered motorcyclist identified as Edoja Imoni Ediri, and carted away with his motorcycle, in Oviri Ogor Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State
It was gathered that the body of Ediri, aged thirty-year-old was dumped in an uncompleted building, after he was murdered in the area.
Our correspondent reports that the rampaging unknown gunmen in the recent times have allegedly turned the area into war zone for unsuspecting residents.
It was gathered that the death of the latest victim, a native of Igbuku Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State had been creating palpable tension among the people especially visitors to the area.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the State, DSP Edafe Bright who confirmed the incident, say the police were mobilized with a view to ensuring those behind the nefarious activities are brought to a halt.
The spokesman addds that” The police are investigating the incident and the corpse of the deceased have been evacuated from the scene as no arrest has been made”
In a related development, a young man identified as Pius Idise in Kotokoto layout Orhuwhorun in Udu local government area of Delta State at the weekend allegedly committed suicide by drinking substance Suspectd to be inserticide three weeks that he moved into a new apartment in the area
It was gathered that Pius Idise holds a master’s degree Certificate without a good job as he was found dead in his apartment with the door widely opened and an empty container of the inserticide found by his side . It was further gathered that his death shocked his neighbours because he was full of life before his evil burst the evening of his wicked decision
However, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident said that Investigation was ongoing with a view to conducting an autopsy on the deceased that will asertain the true position of his death.
