As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INCE) continues its distribution of Permanent Voters card in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator, representing the FCT in the Nigerian Senate, Philip Aduda, has urged resident to take advantage of the opportunity and collect their Permanent Voters Card, which will empower to determine their future.

Aduda, who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Power, gave this advice   after he collected his Permanent Voters’ card at Old Chief Palace Polling Centre, in Karu, at the weekend.

He stressed that became  necessary for stakeholders to create awareness for people to come out massively,  to receive their cards, which he said will determine their future, given their ability to vote for people of their choice.

“This exercise is very important and I want my people to come out and collect their voters’ card, and we have taken this enlightenment campaign to their doorsteps for everyone to participate in the Programme, and I am using this medium to call on people to be involved in this three days period,” Aduda Said.

However, some registered voters at about ten collection in the Territory visited by the Senator,  advised the INEC ad hoc officials dispatching the cards,  to find ways of making the exercise faster and less stressful.

Peoples Daily reports that there was a large turnout in almost all the collection centres, even as many registered voters who collected their card promised to call others to do same.
