A ward head in Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State has been suspended indefinitely by Bade Emirate Council on suspicion of raping a six years old boy.
As contained in a press release from the state Commissioner of Information, Home Affairs and Culture, Hon.Abdullahi Bego and made available to our reporter in Damaturu the state capital, the suspension followed a directive from the state governor, Hon.Mai Mala Buni, after he was briefed on the incident by the emirate council authority.
Consequently, the ward head has been suspended and served with the letter of his suspension, pending the outcome of an ongoing investigation on the allegation.
Also, the victim has been examined and treated by medical personnel at the general hospital in Gashua, the headquarters of Bade Local Government Area.
