The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe state command has deployed 850 personnels to ensure a hicht free Christmas and new year celebrations.
State commandant Mr. Gyawiya Gyama who stated this through a press release signed and issued to Journalists in Gombe by the command Public Relations Officer SC Buhari Sa’ad said measures have been taken to ensure peaceful during Christmas and new year celebrations.
He said the deployment of the personnels was to prevent crime and maintain law and order across the state.
According to the statement, the deployment of the personnels will cover all the 11 local government areas focusing on places of worship, motor parks, recreational centers, public and private assets.
“The deployed personnels are drawn from specialised units that include operation department, special weapons and tactics, counter terrorist unit, critical national assets and infrastructure, agro rangers unit and mining Marshall and intelligence”.
