2023: Clerics call on Nigerians to be vigilant

The clerics, under the auspices of United Pastors Initiative For Good Governance (UPIG), have called on Nigerians to be vigilant in the forthcoming general election 2023.

The group has also assured politicians that if for any reason they invest to pick a ticket, they should be assured that they are going to make their party lose election, because everyone will follow the right way this time.

Addressing journalists during a press briefing in Abuja yesterday, the president of the group, Rev. James Muye stated that “Nigeria our great country has never in history been worse than this, yet politics has been the order of the day, our striving nation.

He said “We have been making studies on all aspirants, from state assemblies, Reps., senates, Governorship and presidential aspirants, our state executives have been busy working on you all, at the national we have done our homework on all the governorship and presidential aspirants.”

According to him,”We are doing our own calculations, informing thousands of our executives spreads across all the regions in the country to educate millions of our members to see your intention and rate you as that

While Addressing the national issues, he said insecurity in the country is growing every passing day, saying the economic situation is not getting better and the Academic Union of University (ASUU) strike is worsening by the day.

“We are calling on the government, especially the President, having appreciated all your efforts in trying to make things work in the country, we are asking you to put more effort in tackling the security, economy and try your possible best to resolve the ASUU strike”, he said.

He also charged the religious and traditional leaders to open their eyes to see the need to challenge the wrong going on in the country or else the country would soon become victims of some calamity.
