2027 Elections: Zamfara APC Stakeholders Endorse Tinubu, Lawal
The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Zamfara State have agreed to back the second term bid of President Bola Tinubu and the state Governor, Dauda Lawal.
The stakeholders said they unanimously took the decision <span;>to consolidate ongoing gains, ensure continuity of governance, and strengthen the delivery of democratic dividends in the state.
The decision was contained in a communique issued after Saturday’s high-level stakeholders’ meeting, held at the Government House, Gusau.
The meeting brought together critical party leaders, elected officials, elders, youth, women representatives and other key stakeholders from across the 14 Local Government Areas of the state.
The meeting provided a strategic platform for extensive deliberations on party unity, governance alignment, security imperatives, and preparations for forthcoming party activities and the 2027 General Elections.
The meeting reaffirmed its total, unified, and unconditional loyalty to the leadership of the party at the state level Governor Lawal.
The stakeholders resolved to consolidate internal cohesion, strengthen party structures, and ensure discipline at all levels in order to guarantee effective coordination, stability, and sustained progress within the party.
They also endorsed the leadership and reform direction of President Tinubu.
The meeting further resolved that the people of Zamfara State, in conjunction with the entire APC structure, will support the re-election of Tinubu in the forthcoming general elections.
“Similarly, stakeholders unanimously endorsed and declared total support for the re-election of His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal, as Governor of Zamfara State in the 2027 General Elections, in recognition of his leadership, ongoing reforms, and commitment to security stabilization, economic recovery, and sustainable development.
“This collective endorsement reflects a shared resolve to consolidate ongoing gains, ensure continuity of governance, and strengthen the delivery of democratic dividends at both national and sub-national levels.”
The stakeholders resolved to work collectively and diligently towards the successful conduct of forthcoming party congresses and primary elections in a peaceful, transparent, inclusive manner and in strict compliance with the APC constitution and guidelines.
They pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization across all wards and Local Government Areas to further strengthen APC’s presence.
In this respect, the meeting charged all APC members to work individually and collectively towards ensuring overwhelming success in the 2027 General Elections.
The meeting expressed strong support for the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of the Federal Government and resolved to align state-level policies, programmes, and political messaging to reinforce its objectives of economic revitalization, social inclusion, and national security.
On security, the stakeholders recognised the prevailing security challenges, particularly banditry and related criminal activities in the state and resolved to fully support the efforts of security agencies,
strengthen collaboration between communities and security institutions, as well as promote intelligence sharing as a civic responsibility by all citizens.
To address disagreements that may affect unity and internal cohesion, the meeting agree to reinforce mechanisms for conflict resolution at all levels of the party.
The stakeholders meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to unity, discipline, and strategic coordination in advancing the party’s objectives at both state and national levels.
