A House of Representatives aspirant for Chanchaga Federal Constituency in Niger State on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Shehu Isah-Usman, has pledged to prioritise the welfare and needs of constituents if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Isah-Usman, who is the chairman and chief executive officer of the Usman Dantata Foundation, made the promise on Tuesday in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The aspirant said his ambition was driven by the desire to bring governance closer to the people through inclusive leadership and constant engagement with residents of the constituency.
According to him, regular town hall meetings would be prioritised to enable him interact directly with constituents, understand their concerns and adequately represent them at the National Assembly.
He further promised to focus on youth empowerment, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, improved education, healthcare delivery and infrastructural development across the constituency.
Isah-Usman said the initiatives were aimed at improving the standard of living of residents in Chanchaga Federal Constituency.
Speaking also, the Director-General of the ADC campaign committee, Abubakar Abdullahi, disclosed that the campaign team had commenced consultations with stakeholders across the constituency ahead of the polls.
He expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in the election through grassroots mobilisation and stakeholder engagement.
