The Presidency has taken a swipe at former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, describing him as a “veteran presidential candidate” and likening him to Peter Obi over alleged frequent party defections.
The remark was made on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a post on X while reacting to a documentary on Atiku.
“A short documentary on Atiku Abubakar, a serial defector like Peter Obi, and a veteran presidential candidate,” Onanuga wrote.
Atiku, who has contested for Nigeria’s presidency multiple times, has been in the race for the nation’s top office since 1993.
