Former Minister of State for the FCT, Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has congratulated Abdullahi Bello on his appointment as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Kogi State.

Aliyu described the appointment as well-deserved and timely, noting that it reflects Bello’s track record of service, competence and commitment to governance.

In a statement, she expressed confidence in Bello’s ability to deliver on the mandate of the ministry, especially at a time when grassroots administration remains critical to development.

She said, “I heartily congratulate Hon. Abdullahi Bello on his well-deserved appointment as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kogi State.”

Aliyu added that Bello’s emergence comes at a crucial period when stronger engagement with traditional institutions is vital.

“This appointment is a clear testament to your dedication, competence, and unwavering commitment to public service,” she said.

The former minister also linked the appointment to the vision of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to deepen inclusive governance and accelerate development across the state.

She said Bello’s experience and understanding of grassroots dynamics would strengthen local governance and enhance the role of traditional institutions.

Aliyu further noted that the appointment underscores the confidence reposed in Bello to support the administration’s agenda.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grants you wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as you take on this important responsibility,” she said.
