The three Area councils comprised of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Kwali Area Council as well as Gwagwalada Area Council have flagged-off the second phase of presidential palliatives distribution to the residents.
The Chairman of AMAC, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu who addressed the crowd at Apo town hall on Tuesday, said he would make sure that the palliatives were given to the less privileged ones in the society.
He said his administration would not hesitate to distribute the palliatives to the residents across the twelve political wards in the Area Council and appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as the FCT Minster, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to give a greater priority to the residents of AMAC in terms of their needs, saying that the population of AMAC is too large.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Mandate Secretary in charge of Agriculture and Rural Development in the FCT Secretariat, Mallam Lawal Kolo Gandam who represented the FCT Minister for state, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, warned the beneficiaries against selling of the palliatives.
On his part, the Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya who spoke during the flag-off of the palliatives on Monday in Kwali, said he would do justice to the distribution of palliatives to the residents.
Chiya expressed with Joy that the less privileged ones would be given the palliatives in order to put smiles on their faces.
Speaking in the same vein during the flag-off of palliatives in Kwali, the Mandate Secretary in charge of the Area Council Service Secretariat, Mr. Lawrence Bitrus Garki who represented the FCT Minster, Mr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, urged the Area Council Chairmen to complement the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by distributing the Palliatives to the people who are concerned.
Not let out, the Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, while presenting his speech during the flag-off of the palliatives in Gwagwalada on Tuesday, assured the residents that the palliatives would be given to the people across the ten political wards in Gwagwalada.
