Court orders NBTE to unseal Alhaji Mangal property

A Federal Capital Territory High Court, sitting in Maitama,  has directed the National Board of Technical Education(NBTE) to unseal a Property belonging to D.B Mangal Company, owned by Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal. 

The plaintiff has in an ex-perte marked M/8161/202 dated and filed November 2021, prayed the court to compel the NBTE to unseal his Plot located at No. 1405 Cadestral zone A05 Maitama, Abuja. 

Respondents in the matter are the Attorney General of the Federation, the SSS, the Inspector General of Police and the National Board of Technical Education, NBTE. 

 Justice Yusuf Halilu, after listening to all the arguments canvassed by the parties in the matter, in an ex-perte order, granted all four interim orders.

The Court also “directed the respondents, henceforth to allow Mangal unhindered access to his property they unlawfully seized.” 

The Judge also “directed the parties to maintain status quo which had existed before the unlawful seizure pending the determination of the substantive matter.”

Meantime, the matter is adjourned to December 13, 2021 for hearing.
