As Christians around the world mark Easter, commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, Senator Solomon Adeola, has called on Nigerians to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the country.
He said the ongoing implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda is laying a strong foundation for a more secure and prosperous future, already gaining global recognition.
In his 2026 Easter message to constituents and Nigerians at large, the senator urged Christians and others to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, patience, love, and unwavering faith, as demonstrated in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He noted that meaningful national development is difficult to achieve without consciously practicing these values, including love for one another, selflessness, patience, and hope for a better future.
Adeola stated that the current administration, alongside APC-led states, is actively implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said is steering Nigeria toward sustainable economic growth and development. He added that global institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, and WTO have acknowledged these efforts.
According to him, President Tinubu has shown courage in taking necessary decisions in the nation’s interest, expressing confidence that the benefits of democracy will soon become more evident.
He further encouraged Nigerians to contribute in their own capacities toward addressing economic and security challenges while continuing to pray for the President during Easter and beyond.
The senator also called on citizens to remain optimistic and support government initiatives aimed at building a safer and more economically stable society. He emphasized that just as the resurrection of Jesus Christ offers hope of salvation, there is also hope for a better Nigeria through hard work, unity, and prayer.
