An Estate Surveyor and Valuer Esv Chike Kingsley Anyansi said an estate surveyor and Valuer has an important role to play in the construction industry. ESV Anyansi stated this yesterday in Abuja.
He said an Estate surveyor is qualified to form part of the consortium in the construction of a building because there are lots of interest from the beginning stage and to the finished stage but I will still elucidate on the points.
“An Estate Surveyor and Valuer is a professional that has been trained to manage built environment but most time we find an Estate surveyor as one of the consultants in construction of a certain building project and people always ask questions and in this write up, I will highlight important roles an Estate surveyor play in construction”.
He noted that an Estate Surveyor plays many roles in the construction and I will start firstly with the acquisition of the land.
He said that an Estate surveyor aids in the procurement of a land that will suit the main interest of his client with consideration on the purpose why the client intends to acquire a landed property that will be developed.
“After the procurement of the land, an Estate surveyor continues to play an advisory role to aid the client to achieve the maximum best use of the subject property with consideration to feasibility and viability of the subject project. He emphasized that an estate Surveyor in consortium of development plays a role of procuring materials for the site and sourcing best price for the purchase thereby having the clients interest in mind all the time.
He disclosed that an Estate Surveyor finally helps in finishing the project by renting out the property to a credible tenant at a very optimal price with consideration to the current rental value of similar apartment with silimar features and within same neighborhood.
An estate surveyor also plans on the management of the property with consideration to preventive maintenance that will give the property appreciable value with minimal defects on the preoperty.
He reiterated that all These points outlined are not all the roles an Estate Surveyor plays but the outlined points are very important in the construction of a residential or commercial building and that makes An Estate surveyor very important in the construction industry.
