Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chapter of Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), said the association is soliciting for continuous training upgrade from National Institute for Tourism and Hospitality Management ( NIHOTOUR).
The training and upgrade would present a competent professional practice and quality service delivery in the tourism and hospitality industry to performance in line with global best practice.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Director, Media &Public Relations, Ahmed Sule.
The statement said officials of the association led by its Chairman, Mrs. Ebikaboere Seimodei, made the appeal while on a courtesy visit to congratulate the Director General of (NIHOTOUR), Nura Kangiwa, on his recent appointment.
Mrs Seimodei said the aim of the courtesy call was to seek for collaboration on manpower training for practitioners in the industry.
She expressed dismay on the practice where expatriates are considered and placed above their Nigerian counterparts in terms of job positions remuneration and appealed for a reversal of the trends .
