Baring last minute hitches, the new Commissioner of Police for Lagos state, Aderanti Cornelius Kayode will officially resume at his new office at the Lagos State Police Command in Ikeja today.Aderanti, who was born on June 26, 1960, at Odo-Otin, in the present Osun state is among 20 other Commissioners of Police recently deployed by the Police High Command.
He attended Offa Grammar School, where he obtained his Senior Education Certificate in 1977. Between 1977 and 1979 he attended Kwara State College of Technology, obtaining the Certificate of Basic Studies (GCE Advance level).
He, thereafter gained admission into the University of Ibadan to read Sociology graduating in 1982, before enlisting into the Nigeria Police Force and was trained at Police Staff College Jos, in 1984. and commissioned as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Aderanti also attended Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education, USA where he obtained the Certificate in Senior Executive in National and International Security in 2008.
Until his new posting, he was the Commissioner of Western Ports Police Command.
