Special Assistant on Media to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Mohammed Isa has yesterday picked the All Progressives Congress (APC), nomination form to contest Funtua local government state assembly seat.
Collecting the nomination form after making the mandatory payment of N750, 000, Isa, a former Political Editor of the Peoples Daily, noted that he decided to contest the election as a way of bringing positive changes in the development of the area.
He said “If you look at development in the state since 1999 our people are being cheated. Funtua in the second largest town in Katsina State after Katsina metropolis but if you check properly you will notice that some smaller local governments have more infrastructure than the area”.
Isa added that if elected he would make sure the area develop in the area of education, youth and women empowerment, calling on people of the area to support him in his quest to represent them.
The aspirant further called on politicians to always play politics of issues and strive at all times to offer selfless service to their society, advising people to shun violence and thuggery.
He similarly urged people of the area to make a wise choice by electing capable hands to represent them at all levels of legislation in the country, “this is the only way you can encourage quality representation”.
